Bonay Kodesh at St. Mark's
The Bonay Kodesh Story
Bonay Kodesh was founded by a group of people who wanted Jewish life for themselves, their families and friends. We chose the name Bonay Kodesh (builders of holiness) to reflect our core value: that as a spiritual community we can greatly impact ourselves and RVA.
We are a new model for Jewish community. We want to meet people "where they are," and for that reason we have chosen not to have a building. Instead, we are honored to utilize the space provided to us by our interfaith partners.
Our community includes Jews, non-Jews, people in the process of converting, interfaith families, religious Jews, secular/cultural Jews and every flavor of spiritual practice, lifestyle and background.
At Bonay Kodesh, everyone belongs. Bonay Kodesh meets at St. Mark's some Fridays at 7 pm, and the other days as arranged for service and religious education.
